Usharp no longer plays any YT videos

Possibly API update/block of protocol, validated in all worlds. Validated other newer players that YT still loads, unsure if theres a difference in the way Usharp makes calls.

Opening issue in the event of future updates or logging for this.

Can confirm this. Respectfully, U# was superior for what we could use it for, but it appears to have completely broken inside of my world as well, as reported by quite a number of people.

Use Stream mode and it will be working - stream mode uses AVPro player instead of the Unity's one.
A lot of other players ditched Unity player completely and use AVPro only, probably USharpVideo should that too at one point...

VRChat uses yt-dlp/yt-dlp under the hood, which is kept updated in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\LocalLow\VRChat\VRChat\Tools.

I launched VRChat and tested it moments before posting my reply, I did not change anything and my world hasn't been updated in a while.
You can also try deleting yt-dlp.exe in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\LocalLow\VRChat\VRChat\Tools and reloading the video/world, game will redownload newest version.

Just attempted, still same issue, runs an error, tested in multiple usharp video worlds including those I host. Appreciate the response though. I'll check out other players for now.

Would make sense as YouTube is supposedly been changing their served formats somewhat recently, they are also testing potential DRM implementations to circumvent adblocks.

Possibly related yt-dlp issue: yt-dlp/yt-dlp#12563

It's possible that if it doesn't work for you even on the Stream mode then you're the lucky winner of being in the DRM testing crowd.

Yeah this is YouTube updating their formats again. Can confirm that the stream mode works fine so you can switch to that for the mean time. I'll put out a release this weekend with stream mode as default.

Myself and a few others are still unable to get it to work in stream mode, however per above swapping to an avpro style player has alleviated the issue. Idk if just certain regions affected, some of us are in the US, and another in Canada and the other is in Germany. Hopefully a root cause is found or youtube puts out more info for future updates. +1 to those unaffected though, been with this player since forever.
